Nick named Junior, Mark Waugh has been Australia's most consistent batsman
since 1995. He usually loves to drive the ball or straight through the
covers, and is a very elegent player with equisite timing, unlike his older
twin Steve Waugh who is more of the brains behind the team. He is the first
player to score back to back centuries in a World Cup (1996), when he scored
three 100s, the highest number of centuries ever scored in a one day tournament
(tied with England's Graeme Hick for his three tons in the Carlton &
United series in 1999). Although in 1998, Mark's batting was not up his
standards (in ODIs), he made up for it, with a good display in the Carlton
& United series in early 1999, and by being the fourth highest run
scorer (375 runs) in the same year's World Cup.
